Matte Canvas

A matte canvas is the quiet classic of wall art: the image is printed on cotton-blend canvas with a non-reflective finish, stretched around a 1.5-inch stretcher bar and wrapped so the picture continues around the edges. No frame is needed, which is why this format suits almost any room, from a plaster hallway to a dark study.

Because the surface does not shine, a matte canvas reads well opposite windows and under ceiling spots, where glossy prints and glass would throw glare. Colours sit slightly softer than on paper, so photographs and painterly scenes look natural rather than digital. Each canvas arrives ready to hang with a sawtooth hanger already fitted; a 24 x 16 inch piece weighs well under a kilogram.
